Therapeutic Modalities

  • IFS is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us. You might have a part that’s confident and capable, another that’s anxious, and maybe one that’s hard on yourself. IFS helps you understand these parts, rather than fight them—so you can work with them, not against them.

    Why we might use it:
To help you feel more grounded, authentic, and empowered in your day-to-day life. It can be especially helpful if you tend to overthink or disconnect from your feelings.

To bring more compassion and balance to your inner world—especially if you feel pulled in different directions or stuck in self-critical loops.

  • Gestalt is a present-focused approach that helps you get out of your head and into your experience—your thoughts, emotions, body, and behaviour—all in the here and now. You might be surprised how much shifts just by becoming more aware of yourself in the moment.

    Why we might use it:
To help you feel more grounded, authentic, and empowered in your day-to-day life. It can be especially helpful if you tend to overthink or disconnect from your feelings.

  • EFT helps you get to the heart of your emotional patterns—especially in relationships. If you find yourself caught in the same arguments, shutting down, or feeling distant from your partner (or even from yourself), EFT helps uncover the deeper emotions driving those patterns. It’s especially useful in couples therapy, but can also be powerful in individual work.

    Why we might use it:
To build secure, connected relationships—by understanding the emotions underneath the surface reactions.

  • Somatic Experiencing helps you listen to what your body is saying—especially when it comes to stress, trauma, or overwhelm. Rather than just talking about what happened, SE invites you to slow down, notice your physical sensations, and gently release tension that might be stuck in your nervous system. It's less about the story and more about how your body lived the story.

    Why we might use it:
To support healing from trauma and chronic stress—by helping your body find safety, regulation, and ease again. It’s especially powerful if you’ve ever felt “stuck,” anxious, or out of touch with your body.

Cancellation

Life happens and I know sometimes things don’t go to plan. Sick children, car accidents, work demands.

If you need to cancel, we require 48 hours notice otherwise the half the session fee will be charged. Notice less than 36 hours will incur the full session fee.

This ensures that my schedule is open to as many people as possible and to avoid people missing out.

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.
